Confident Beginnings

I have been working with families in Southern California since 2006.  Before this, I taught HIgh School for 5 years.  I completed my Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development at California State University Fullerton in 2000 and graduated from National University with a Master’s Degree in Education as well as a California Teaching Credential in 2004.

I have two boys, Marley and Cash.  They are the loves of my life and have changed me completely.  They are my everyday super heros. After giving birth, I became a Doula and a Childbirth Educator.  My sister was my doula during both of my births and really opened my eyes to the importance of having educational, spiritual, physical, mental and emotional support during the birthing process.   I have attended just over 100 births since 2006 in homes, birth centers and hospitals from Los Angeles to San Diego.

I realized through attending births that I needed to learn more coping skills and comfort measures to help women on all levels  and became a Massage Therapist, Reflexologist, Level II Reiki Healer, Jin Shin Healer, Hypnobabies Instructor, ICEA certified (International Childbirth Education Association) and currently teach Prenatal Education for Kaiser Permanente.  In addition to this, I am  an American Heart Association certified CPR instructor for both Adult /Child CPR and Infant Safety CPR .

I love what I do and feel very lucky to be able to do it.  It truly takes a village and I am so thankful for my parents and my in-laws who always help me out when I need them.  We are so lucky to be surrounded by so much love.
